While the process requires precision and care, it is entirely achievable with the right tools and guidance. Before making any incision, preparation is the most critical factor in a successful repair. You must assemble a specific set of tools to avoid damaging the delicate internal components. Using incorrect tools, such as a metal screwdriver, can puncture the battery or scrape the logic board.

Phillips #00 screwdriver
Pentalane screwdriver (for the specific Y0Y screw)
Plastic opening pick or spudger
